Palazzo Calciati Crotti
Murano chadeliers from the 18th century illuminate elegant and refined environments furnished with unique pieces
The extraordinary eighteenth-century art continues to live again in the Palazzo Calciati Crotti in the historic center of Cremona. The Palace, built between 1763 and 1766 by Count Cesare Calciati, is a rare example of refinement and elegance. The frescoed rooms are introduced by a Staircase of Honor that leads to the Gallery decorated with prints of European capitals. Furniture, tapestries and living rooms are illuminated by important Murano glass chandeliers of the '700. The most curious elements of the palace are the chair on which Musolini sat in 1923 and a retractable polychrome altar. Finally, it is possible to admire an important documentary exhibition of registers and ledgers of the noble family that owns the palace.
