Castello di Roccabianca
In the areas of the Great River Po, the home of Cortese love between Pier Maria Rossi and Bianca Pellegrini
The Castle of Roccabianca can be considered a treasure chest of feelings. The fortress, in fact, was given by Pier Maria Rossi II to Bianca Pellegrini, his lover. The sentimental-themed frescoes that decorate the numerous rooms of the fortress are amorous dedications. The Portico of Honor is decorated with medlars tied together by ribbons to symbolize loving fidelity. Interesting is the Sala di Griselda where the hundredth story of the Decameron is represented, whose original scenes are preserved in the Castello Sforzesco in Milan. The favorable position of this Castello del Po allows you to enjoy the view of the surrounding countryside. Indeed, there are those who claim that during the beautiful days it is possible to see the Torrazzo of Cremona from afar. The Castle of Roccabianca offers a step back in time through frescoed rooms, cellar, keep, basement used as vinegar cellar and towers.
